Security Specialist - Cambridgeshire
Salary: Negotiable plus benefits
Our client in the Cambridgeshire area is looking for a very senior security specialist to be responsible and head the security audit team. Responsibilities and experience must include: Collaborate with the Security Architect to: Ensure the architecture and design of new products and features conforms to security best practices, provide any needed training * best practice, documentation for the development and test teams, raise the general security awareness within the development group, Provide specific advice to development groups about ways to solve security related problems.
Assess the security posture of our clients products and recommend action is taken: Conduct high level analysis to identify security critical components, Perform an analysis of critical components using a combination of black*white box testing, Review available design documentation for current products, Provide a description of any discovered problems and a suggested solution to the development teams, Verify fixes for security issues. Monitor external vulnerability reports: Ensure the correct people within our clients environment are notified of any external vulnerabilities, Assess the validity and severity of any claimed vulnerability, Ensure that the PM group are given all the technical input they need to make an informed decision about dealing with vulnerabilities, Follow a documented response process to ensure that any genuine vulnerabilities are fixed in good time. Keep the reporting party informed of the progress made.
